What religion is gandhi?

He was inated by a Muslim or Hindu, but he was neither. He appeared to be a holy man and may have been, but ordinarily a holy man doesn't get involved in politics, because normally holy men are lost in their consciousness of God and are unaware of their surroundings. Gandhi's peaceful resistance may have been more of a political tactic than a religious one, which later was put to practice during the 60s in the US. Before he died he hated the division that religions were causing in society, so he probably didn't believe in an orthodox religion. You perhaps could say that he just believed in God, or maybe, to some degree, actually knew that God exists.
